Garlic Chicken Masala (original recipe)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Baby Bella Mushrooms
  • 1/3 cup Sweet Onion diced
  • 3 Garlic Cloves Minced
  • 3 cups Chicken Stock
  • 1.5 tbsp Garam Masala Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Garlic Salt
  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 4 pats Butter
  • 1 pint Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 2 tbsp Italian Seasoning
  • 2-3 Boneless Chicken Breast
  • 3 tbsp EVOO

Instructions

  • Season chicken breast with 1/2 tablespoon of garam masala, 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and 2 teaspoons of garlic salt.
  • Drizzle with 3 table spoons of olive oil and toss chicken breast to coat evenly.
  • Place chicken in baking dish and add water to bottom of pan as to create a broth.
  • Place 2 pats of butter in pan with chicken.
  • Bake chicken, uncovered for 40 mins at 375 degrees. Remove chicken from oven and sit to the side.
  • In a large skillet, add your remaining pats of butter, minced garlic and the sweet onion. Sauté until fragrant.
  • Add your chicken broth, heavy whipping cream, the rest of the Italian seasoning, the remaining garam masala seasoning, and the remaining garlic powder to your skillet
  • Place on low heat and allow sauce to come to a light boil to thicken.
  • Add chicken breasts to skillet with sauce and allow it to simmer (should take no more than 10 mins) , to incorporate flavors.
  • Toss in mushrooms until they are softened. Serve over fettuccine or rice ?
